OGS

The open all-day program

The OGS offers parents reliable care for their child from 8:15 am to 4:15 pm. At present, 100 children attend the OGS and are looked after by 14 educational staff. The team is also supported by students and interns.

The OGS premises comprise the entire lower wing of the old building of the Eilermark School. This includes 2 large group rooms, a kitchen, sanitary facilities, a games room, a table football room and a dolls' room.

Our primary goal is to ensure that the children entrusted to us feel comfortable in the OGS.

Our work focuses on strengthening social interaction and teaching values so that the children can cope well with their school and life tasks and develop their personalities.

We offer the children a balanced range of leisure activities to stimulate their imagination and creativity:

  • crafting and painting
  • sporting activities
  • relax with the dream stories
  • experiment
  • "free play"

Daily schedule

The OGS starts at 12:00 or after the end of lessons.

12:00 - 13:30: voluntary participation in the daily arts and crafts program or free play

12:45 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.: 1st year lunch

13:30 - 14:15: 2nd - 4th year lunch

3:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.: voluntary participation in an AG, or "free play"

Food

From 12:00 noon, the children are given a snack in the form of fruit or vegetables. Mineral water is available at all times. In the afternoon, each child is offered a cookie or a small sweet.

Our lunch is delivered frozen every week by the company Apetito. This is supplemented with fresh salads or raw vegetables prepared by our housekeeper. There is usually a small dessert afterwards.

The menu can always be viewed via the SchoolFox app.

Homework

The children go to individual classrooms in small groups to complete their homework. The staff support them in completing their tasks and encourage them to work independently. We also have a few teachers on hand several times a week.

Working groups

Our varied arts and crafts program offers the children the opportunity to be creative. In the afternoon, the children have a voluntary, balanced range of leisure activities at their disposal, such as

  • Sport in the hall or in the schoolyard
  • Soccer
  • Dream stories
  • "little researchers"
  • as well as projects in which they can try out their creativity

Of course, this time can always be used for "free play". The school playground with its play equipment and many different children's vehicles allow children to let off steam and try things out.

Registration

Parents will be notified of the needs assessment for OGS registration via SchoolFox at the beginning of the second half of the school year. For new pupils, the needs assessment for the OGS takes place together with the school registration.

If you would like to register your child in the Eilermark School's childcare program (OGS) during the school year, you can pick up the registration forms from the Eilermark School office. There is currently a waiting list for a place in both the OGS and the ÜMI.

Please find attached our OGS flyer with further information.

The OGS team is looking forward to a good time together with the children and their parents.
