Schools must appoint a data protection officer. For schools under municipal and state sponsorship (this is the case for us as a municipal community elementary school), a data protection officer responsible for all schools in the school district is appointed by the responsible education authority. The school authority for the Borken district is responsible for us. Mr. Tim Bittorf has been appointed as data protection officer by the school authority. You can contact the data protection officer at the e-mail address datenschutz.bor2@bdsb.nrw.schule or at the postal address of the Borken district education authority: Schulamt für den Kreis Borken, Burloer Str. 93, 46325 Borken with the addition 'der Datenschutzbeauftragte des Schulamtes'.

Collection and processing of personal data It is generally possible to use our website without providing personal data. When using the website for information purposes only, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following access data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f EU GDPR). By anonymizing the data, it is not possible to draw conclusions about your person. If personal data (e.g. name, address or email addresses) is nevertheless collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Access data The website operator or site provider collects data about access to the site and stores this as "server log files". The following data is logged in this way:
- Website visited
- Time of access
- Amount of data sent in bytes
- Source/reference from which you reached the page
- Browser used
- Operating system used
- IP address used (if applicable: in anonymized form)
The data collected is only used for statistical evaluations and to improve the website. However, the website operator reserves the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.

Rights of the user
As a user, you have the right to request information free of charge about what personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to have incorrect data corrected and to have the processing of your personal data restricted or deleted. If applicable, you can also assert your right to data portability (i.e. the right to obtain that personal data be transferred directly from one controller to another controller, insofar as this is technically feasible). If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. We do not currently store any personal data (as would be the case, for example, when using a contact form). You can only use our website to obtain information about our school.

Deletion of data
Unless your request conflicts with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention), you have the right to have your data deleted. Data stored by us will be deleted if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no statutory retention periods. If deletion cannot be carried out because the data is required for permissible legal purposes, data processing will be restricted. In this case, the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes.

Right to object Users of this website can exercise their right to object and object to the processing of their personal data at any time. If you would like a correction, blocking, deletion or information about the personal data stored about you, or if you have questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data or would like to revoke your consent, please contact the following e-mail address: verwaltung@ems.schule.gronau.de You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data. We would also like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible. We hereby expressly prohibit the use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation by third parties for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam e-mails.
