Everyday circus life in year 3

Monday was finally the day! We found out in the gym whether we would be performing in the circus tent as clowns, fakirs, artists, jugglers or magicians. That was really exciting! It was great that all our wishes were fulfilled.

Circus training has finally been on the daily schedule since Tuesday. As well as rehearsals in the six different groups, there are other great activities that we get to choose for ourselves! We made and designed luno necklaces, had time to browse and were able to try out things like the tightrope training and adapt it to suit us. We also carried out numerous artistic exercises in our classroom, as one training session was apparently not enough for our artists.

The dressing-up box was also great! Suddenly there were circus directors, magicians and even animals in the third school year! Many children took the opportunity to take a souvenir photo.

Although there are actually no animals in the Tausendtraum circus, a strange observation was made in the art room on Tuesday: Circus directors were secretly and (not at all quietly) practicing an elephant and even a lion act!

On Wednesday morning, the circus tent was finally erected on our soccer pitch. Many parents helped set up the circus tent on Tuesday afternoon. Work continued diligently on Wednesday morning.

On Thursday we ate "clown faces" during the breakfast break and they were really delicious!

The various training groups trained diligently every day.

Below you can get a little insight into the artists, the clowns, the fakirs, the jugglers, the floor acrobats and the magicians.

The dress rehearsal took place on Friday. A cold ice cream helped us combat stage fright.

Then it was finally time for the performances to begin and we put on our costumes in the gym. The audience were thrilled by the great show and applauded a lot. We were very proud of our performance!

It was an unforgettable circus week for us!
