This week, our school was transformed into a real circus ring: the Tausendtraum circus came to visit! The main focus this week was on daily training, in which the children rehearsed a real circus program together for the big performance at the weekend. Every day we practiced for an hour with the circus trainers. This resulted in very different acts: courageous fakirs, funny clowns, skillful jugglers, magicians who amazed, floor acrobats who showed agility and artists who will leave the audience in awe. We children from the first year were able to get to know the school really well this week, as the training took place all over the school. To ensure that we arrived safely at our training, our sponsor classes did a great job of supporting us by taking all the children safely to their training location. Everyone trained with great enthusiasm, and after a short time you could see how well the tricks were performed.
But the project was not just about training. The classes were also all about circus life. We made chains out of clay that looked like Luno, the circus mascot in the shape of a moon. We also listened to the cheerful Circus Tausendtraum song over and over again, which immediately put us in a good mood.
It became particularly colorful when we made clowns out of handprints and decorated the class with them. We also created funny clown faces, which we photographed afterwards. There were also lots of other activities: We practiced with the swinging cloth, drew, painted and tingled pictures.
A real highlight this week was the scavenger hunt that our sponsor classes prepared for us and carried out with us. Tasks and questions about the circus were distributed throughout the school, which we solved together and found a little treasure at the end.
The whole week was characterized by fun, creativity and team spirit. Now everyone is looking forward to the big performance at the weekend - when the curtain goes up and the children shine like real circus stars in the circus ring.
