The pupils at Eilermark School enjoy exercise, want to know what they are made of and like to take on challenges.
In the disciplines of endurance, strength, speed, coordination and swimming, the girls and boys from the second, third and fourth years showed great commitment and real team spirit at last year's sports badge competition.
Mr. Nadicksbernd from Sparkasse Westmünsterland, together with principal Jana Leuker, presented 126 children with the bronze, silver and gold sports badges.
Classes 3a, 3d and 4a were particularly pleased. They completed the highest percentage of sports badges at the Eilermark School in the Sparkasse competition of all Gronau elementary school and were delighted to receive prize money for their class fund.
