As part of the NRW school cycling campaign, the pupils of the Eilermark School achieved a feat that the entire school can look back on with pride. They achieved an impressive third place in the overall ranking. The dedicated team of students, parents and teachers covered a considerable distance together, which not only helped to protect the environment, but also contributed to a high level of mobilization and ultimately led to an outstanding placement.
To celebrate their success, five children from the classes that had covered the most kilometers made their way to Cologne together with two of their teachers, where the official award ceremony took place. The pupils were not only honored for their sporting achievements, but also received a generous prize. The prize of 500 euros was accepted by the representatives of the Eilermark School, which delighted not only the pupils present, but also the entire school community. In future, the pupils' parliament will decide what the money won will be used for.
The successful campaign was concluded with a visit from the mayor of Gronau, in which he expressly congratulated the Eilermark School on this success and the important contribution it has made to protecting the environment.
