Programming in science lessons

Over the past few weeks, our fourth-year pupils have been working intensively on the subject of robotics and programming in their science lessons. The LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 set was used to give the children their first experience of computer science in a fun way.

After a brief introduction, the children worked in small teams on the "Milo" model. They assembled the vehicle and then programmed it with child-friendly software. "Milo" can drive independently and react to movements. The pupils worked with great enthusiasm to get their model running, change programs and try out new functions.

The children worked with great motivation, supported each other and developed not only technical understanding, but also teamwork and perseverance. It was great to see how much joy and creativity they brought to their work.

The purchase of the materials was made possible by the Förderkreis. Thanks to this support, we were able to add an exciting and future-oriented area to our lessons.
