This year's project week at Eilermark School amazed and inspired the pupils in equal measure. Under the motto "Fire, Water, Air", the Eilermark School was transformed into a true experimental playground and the pupils immersed themselves in a world full of science, art and creativity.
At the start of the project week, the pupils were offered a particularly outstanding project with the "Fire Day", which was accompanied by the energetic and committed support of the Gronau fire department. First of all, the children were accompanied by a fireman or firewoman and informed about important things such as making an emergency call or the correct behavior in the event of a fire.
The corridors and classrooms of the Eilermark School were then brought to life. Numerous stations inside and outside the school building offered the children the opportunity to explore the topic of fire in an exploratory or creative way. The stations accompanied by the Gronau fire department were particularly popular.
On the second day, the focus was on the element of water. As a class, the children first explored the importance of water and then transformed themselves into researchers by carrying out their own experiments on the subject of water.
The third stage of the project week took the primary school children into the world of air. In numerous fascinating experiments, the children explored the properties of the element air and discovered what impressive properties this invisible element possesses.
Another highlight of the project week was undoubtedly the concluding knowledge show "Fireball and water surge - the knowledge show of the elements", in which Dr. Sascha Ott captivated the pupils with impressive experiments and his interactive show.
The "Fire, Water, Air" project week was a great success and showed how important it is to give children the opportunity to explore and understand the wonders of nature. The pupils now return to their regular school day with a broad range of knowledge and many inspiring memories.
